The Circus

The Circus is an example of Georgian architecture in the city of BathSomersetEngland, begun in 1754 and completed in 1768. The name comes from the Latin 'circus', which means a ring, oval or circle. There are three entrances to the Circus, one cannot be seen from the other until you enter the on the road. 
We were told by the guide (pictured below) that the Circus represents the sun, while the Royal Crescent represents the moon.
