Blue Moon over the Atlantic

A Blue Moon occurs once every two and a half years, this year on August 31.  Fortunately the sky was clear except for some haze on the horizon.  But the sunset was gorgeous and when the moon came out of the haze...spectacular.

Neil Armstrong, first man to walk on the moon was buried today.
How appropriate.  RIP Mr. Armstrong.

Happy Birthday America!

I was fortunate to be invited out on my friends Jackie and Kirk Brown's sailboat to view the fireworks at Wessagusset Beach in Weymouth (MA).  Eighteen of us on board we headed North from Hingham Harbor seeing the Boston skyline, sunset and the full moon rising from behind the trees, all this while enjoying burgers and dogs!  The finale to this wonderful evening, fireworks...
Here we go...Jackie (left) and Michelle (right) are knitting buddies!
